Zecco Account Opening Update - Interface First Look
Personal Finance
Was able to sign into my Zecco trading account for the first time. The look of the trading interface matches that of the homepage. Everything seems very quick so far (granted I have a high speed connection and moderately fast computer). I’ve posted some screenshots and more analysis below.
Unfortunately I have to wait a few days for some penny tests to go through my bank before I can ACH funds in to actually start trading (I’m not anxious enough to pay $35 for a wire transfer). No fault of Zecco’s here, this is standard procedure for financial institutions.
Main Menu
So here is the main Zecco trading screen, which is pretty straightforward (click image for larger picture). There is an area on the left to get quotes for stocks or options as well as actually place your orders. The area on the right is where you can find the actual information one its retrieved as well as information on stock executions, your current stocks, wish lists, and what open orders you have.
Money Transfers
Here is the ACH transfer screen. I found it a little confusing that I had to put my account number in the text box then push the “request new” button to setup a new ACH account - I only have 1 account number why do I need to input that? Seems like it would make more sense if it was a dropdown of your account numbers instead of a text box. Since I don’t have any banks approved yet its hard to play with this much for deposits and withdrawals.
But one very positive thing is the fact that you can ACH from/to savings accounts - I keep most of my extra money in a savings account and find it very annoying when financial institutions won’t let you transfer from them (*cough* American Express *cough*).
Overall the interface seems very clean, fast, and easy to use. Looking forward to actually funding my account and playing with the trading interface.

All those account information webpage is from Zecco’s clearing house webpage. I have an account at MBTrading and it uses same clearing house as Zecco and same interface.
Thanks for the info Miming, I guess its not their doing then.
Thanks for the info Chuck. I signed up for Zecco too…but I am too lazy and haven’t yet sent back the signed form that they require.
I am pretty sure to return to this post when I come to the point of setting up ACH for my account.
