My Chase Saga Has Ended
Personal Finance
After checking the mail today I was delighted to find my Chase United Mileage Plus Business Card. During my latest 0% app-o-rama that was dicussed a few times here I also applied for this card in order to take advantage of the 25,000 free miles they were giving away with it which is enough for a free round trip domestic flight.
However my experience with Chase was less than stellar. I was called by their fraud prevention department and asked to fax my business license to them which I did. A few days later a rather crass representative called me again stating my business license was not good enough, they would need some other documentation so I offered up my 2006 tax returns. Well then a few days later I received another call, but this time the woman on the other end was very helpful and did not understand why the previous information I had faxed was not sufficient. She eventually put my application through.
I guess they need to be thorough but I have never had this kind of difficulty opening a credit card before. Thank goodness I know how to use free faxing services or else this would have cost quite a bit to get all the documentation I needed in.
Now I just need to spend $250 on my card to receive my 25,000 miles. Hopefully there will be no problems there.

Wow, thanks for the info. Till now I also didn’t face any problem with my United Mileage Plus Platinum Business Card. But, I will be alert in the future.
Wow, I’ve never had any trouble from Chase getting their business credit cards. I have several and they were all as easy to obtain as regular cards. That said, I really hate Chase’s recent website security upgrades which force me to obtain an authorization code by e-mail every time I want to log in.
