   Same thing happened to us. Woodforest held 4 charges from the end of Jan. and they all showed up. I let the bank know I showed they had cleared, she said We would have to “investigate” That takes 4-7 days. But were still neg. UGG

   I seriously doubt that you will get it sooner. Sorry…
   As I stated ours shows it was DD’d on 2-20 and still not there. We filed way before you did…

   I know this doesn’t help…we’re about to go neg. also if they don’t put the DD monies into our acct. We’re almost finished paying off our loan with 1st conv. and they always play games like this when you have 1 or 2 payments due…they hold a Credit for a few days…then hit you with hundreds of NSFs for as many of the little debits as possible and then put instead of putting the little debits through first and then only hit you for the big one. So, I’m sure we’ll have to renew our loan again! I hate this bank…and as long as we have a stupid loan with them we have to continue to have DD with them!

   I filed with turbo tax on 2/16, it was accepted 2/16. Projected date is 2/27 to be direct dposited. Is it possible I could get it sooner. We are neg in the checking acct and this could make things easier. Help

   My husband and I are having same problem…IRS said check was infact DD’d into our Acct on 2/20. But checked acct. online and nothing 2-20. Called 1st Conv. and they said they have no record of it…to check again Sat. we have checked repeated and called bank repeatedly and now the bank says that any DD that was supposedly 2-20 from IRS can take up to Wednesday after 10 a.m. to show up. IRS still insists DD was done 2-20 into our correct acct. Bank says as of 10:40 a.m. that they still have no record of any DD from IRS. I think it’s the bank…the IRS gave them an out saying that it can take up to 48 to 36 business hours to be deposited into your acct after the DD. The banks use that as a way to collect extra interest on your money. Also they sure are fast to take NSF’s saying those transactions came in late last night…but won’t show a Credit until after 10 a.m. (even from FRIDAY!).
   We have never had any problems with TAXact and when they say a check is to be deposited it’s DEPOSITED. This year is the first time we’ve ever had any problems!

   Another update: just spoke to my bank (BoA) and yes, my refund was returned due to additional numbers on account. Must wait a week for return acknowledgment and then 3 weeks for a paper check to be issued, Rats…only have myself to blame. Good luck everyone.

   I know about that form, but then I figure whats the point ya know, they will deney it anyways and still keep the money I was married to him at the time and he refuses to pay so someone has to, I just wish they would stop screwing us all around and send out our refunds. They know the economy is bad, they know we are all broke and struggling yet they keep on with all the delays and sh*t. Its rediculous…I mean our government acts like it cares about us the people, yet we are the ones who are getting burried in debt, evicted from our homes, having to turn to others for hand outs and loans meanwhile waiting for a check we worked for to get ourselves out of debt….and more delays, no news and endless games of phone tag. I just want my check lol….. I have 4 kids and a stack of bills. I earned that money yet I have to sit around and wait for them to give it to me…..Whats the deal?

   Since this wasn’t your debt, you can claim what they call an injured spouse form and get that money they took back…

   Everyone else — Checked my bank, no deposit. Guess I’ll start packing.

    I efiled on feb.7th, When i check the IRS refund status on their site nothing seems to show up for me. Doesn’t even show me when i should get my DD. Should i contact the IRS and make sure my Efile was processed?

    I filed my return in january. I was told I’d get my refund deposited on Feb 13 th. It is now the 23rd and the irs can’t tell me anything. They just said there was a deley in processing my return. I got my state check deposited but they took out 145.75 for my x-husband’s back taxes….we divorced 5 years ago, bumer. This is retarded they want us to work and pay taxes all year long out of our hard earned paychecks, and they take out money from our taxes when we owe it, but when they owe us money, our own money, they deley the hell out of paying us. What kind of system are they running up in there?? I dislike the IRS!!!!!

    I will tell you, this is just crazy for us all. The economy is so bad, we all so desperately need this money. I am still waiting so I can go grocery shopping!!! Will be calling the bank again at 9, good luck everyone. I will update if anythings there but I have a gut feeling it won’t be seen till Tuesday, if then!

    KELLY, I JUST CHECKED MY ACCOUNT AND NO REFUND HAS BEEN APPLIED AND NOTHING PENDING. I JUST CANT BELEIVE THIS CRAP. BUT HOPEFULLY WE WILL ALL SEE IT SOON BECAUSE SOME OF US REALLY NEED IT!!!

    Update: just spoke with IRS….I added check # after account number so agent said my deposit most likely will be rejected by BoA however, just spoke with BoA and the ACH may automatically drop additional numbers. Also, BoA is saying DD’s on Friday will most likely take until Tuesday to post. Good luck everyone.

    Monday AM….just checked my account. No refund has been applied and nothing pending again. WIll call my bank as soon as they open. IRS site still saying that refund was DD on Friday, Feb. 20th

    As a few people have been saying, this is deff a relief finding this page. My WMR says deposited on the 20th and I was worried because it was not there on either friday or saturday when I called my bank. Hopefully we will see it soon, if it is monday like a few people have been saying that would be amazing.

    OMG I was feeling totally hopeless until I found this page. My “where’s my refund page” also says my refund was deposited on the 20th and there is still not a single penny of it in our acct. I’m so sorry that so many of you are in the same boat as us, but I finally have some hope that it’s not just me! I will keep checking back to see if anyone has figured out when we should see our deposit post. Thanks!

    I filed with Turbo Tax have used them 3 times and H&R once. My DD this year was suet up for 2/20 it was then pushed off to 2/24 and now again opushed to 3/3

    when calling hsbc you can never get a live person on the phone but this is where I got my info. Hope it helps. I am so angry and like everyone else, really need the money.

    I agree with what Kelly wrote “Find it difficult to believe IRS will deposit on Sunday/early Monday AM so will be surprised if it posts on Monday”
    I’m not counting on the money being there Monday, hopefully Tuesday! From the majority of other posting’s I’ve read…if IRS refund site has a refund date which was a Friday then the money is showing up in the bank account on Tuesday! Wishing everyone the best of luck!

    I filed on the 7th and used taxact.. also had my fees directly taken from my return..
    I just hope it comes, or I won’t have a house anymore

    I filed with H&R Block. I have filed direct deposit with them for 8 years and this is the first year I have ever had this problem. I have been told a few people say they have received thier return the tuesday after the DD. I am praying it will be there tomorrow, I really need my money.

    To Denise…we didn’t use H&R Block this year. We used Turbo Tax…

    But I did talk to one of my friends and she is having a problem with H&R Block.

    I am wondering how many people here who are waiting for thier refunds used H&R Block. We have used them for years now and this year for the first time had our fee’s taken right from the refund. BIG MISTAKE!!! The WMR site says it was deposited on the 20th. HSBC ( H&R Block’s money people) shows they did recieve our refund and also says a direct deposit cleared on the 20 for our amount after fee’s. But after calling the bank a million times, still no money. I am blaming HSBC for holding my money even though they got my refund on feb 20. Anyone else??

    Not that I want others to be in the same boat as me, but I am somewhat relieved to know that others are experiencing delays with the 2/20 direct deposit date. IRS website told me that refund had been DD on 2/20 but spoke to my bank on Sat. the 21st (BoA) and nothing is pending. Find it difficult to believe IRS will deposit on Sunday/early Monday AM so will be surprised if it posts on Monday.

    Same thing here… money says it was DD into my account 2/20/09 … still nothing! I am pissed cause I am going to loose my house! My husband was laid off in August and can’t find another job, we have exhasuted all funds but this… I have a 3 day eviction notice now… I NEED this money NOW!

    Same story, efiled Feb 6 accepted on Feb 11 was suppose to be in my bank Feb 20th, still no deposit what is up with the IRS… if we owe them money we pay interest,,,,,,if you don’t pay on time… The IRS should pay us interest on the money they are sitting on that belongs to their employer!!! Pissed off in FL

    I e-filed on Jan 16 and I kept checking and it was delayed twice. I checked on Thursday and it said it was scheduled for direct deposit on 2/20 and it is not there. I have checked many times and still NO MONEY! Very frustrating and hoping it will be there on Monday.

    WOW! I was beginning to think it was just me! We are having the same problems. Our e-file was accepted on the 2/7, read on Wednesday that our money was to be deposited into our account on the 20th and nothing! Went to the bank, in person, on Saturday, and they couldn’t help me! UGH! We have NEVER had this problem before and we have been doing e-file for at least 8 years now. Just checked my bank, still nothing and the IRS site still says it deposited the funds.

    The Same BS has happened to me. I was supposed to get it deposited on the 20th and nothing….When i check Wheres My Refund it tells me my refund has been deposited….but nothing. I contacted my bank(BOA) like 10 times but they told me i had nothing pending….so hopefully by Monday it will be there….but if you do receive your DD please let me know

    In response to Nik: same thing with mine, the WMR say’s exactly what you posted. I checked my bank today and still no deposit pending!! My tax guy and the bank said it should be there Monday so we’ll see!
    I’m so stressed out, I just started a new job but won’t see a paycheck until March 10th. I need to pay my dmv tags today, electric, groceries, gas, OMG this is so stressful!
    I don’t believe in spending money until I have it, but my tags are due today! And I have to use my car for my new job! Wouldn’t look to good to get pulled over and my car impounded the 2nd week being on the job!! So I’m just hoping refund shows up Monday!!
    Good luck! Such hard times for everyone! I don’t think most people are using their refund to have fun, its going to bills!

    I’m in the same boat. The WMR site says this, :Your tax refund was direct deposited on February 20, 2009. If your refund is not credited to your account by February 25, 2009, check with your bank to find out if it has been received. Please wait until February 25, 2009 before you contact us again because we are unable to take any action until then.” It isn’t deposited like it says. I just wonder if anyone else has had the site say the same thing to them?

    I too was suppose to get my refund direct deposited today (Feb 20,2009), I called my bank and no refund. So i called the IRS and talked to a “live representative” (1-800-829-0582) and she told me i should receive it on or by March 3. I was a bit pissed off cause I actually paid to have my refund e-filed so i could receive it “8-10 days of accepted date. BTW, it got accepted on Feb 11. So IRS told me to call Turbotax, I also talked to a “live representative” @ (1-888-777-3303) to see if I could possibly get a refund for e-file. Of course they did’nt help me for nothing, they point their fingers back to the IRS and said IRS have had a lot of delays this year and it was outta their hands
    Well, as long as I know I’m not the only one in this messed up situation. oohhh, one more thing, I got an email from Santa Barbara Trust Bank and they notified me that IRS did’nt deposit my refund as it should have and that IRS does deposits every Fridays, so I should double check by next week. Im hoping to get it sooner or by Feb 27 instead of waiting til March 3. Good luck!

    It should post to your bank within a few days, each bank is different- could take anywhere from 2-7 days. But based upon, the IRS estimate you should have it by February 24th. When was yours accepted? Would like to know how behind schedule they are really running! lol

    IRS website stated 2/20 direct deposit. Haven’t received it!!!! Been checking all day, and nothing. My bank, wellsfargo… said to check tomorrow SATURDAY after 8 am. I’m wondering if it can be posted after midnight tonight, but I think most likely Monday! I hope so…

    I would say there was either an error made by the IRS during processing or an error when you entered your bank information. I know last year they would not accept my banking institution when I tried to file electronically and had to wait for a check to be mailed as well. The funny thing about it is I have been using the same bank for several years now and have had previous refunds deposited in the same account in the past with no problems. I didn’t receive any errors this year when filing electronically, so I hope my direct deposit works!

    I had to send in my returns via snail mail. After checking Where’s my Refund I finally received confirmation that the return was received and that my check will be mailed on the 27th. Now the problem with this is that I elected to have Direct Deposit and it’s telling me that a check is being mailed. Can I expect a check or a DD? Why wouldn’t it have been DD’d? If someone could help I would appreciate it.

    I was accepted on jan. 28 and then the irs delayed me then i check the where is my refund on their website and it said feb. 20 but i haven’t received mine yet so i’m still waiting.

    Irs changed my date too. When I first called to check the status of my refund they said Feb 24. I called today to double check and IRS said March 3. How awful. I think we need to be informed. We have bills to pay soon…

    I am a tax preparer and all of my clients returns w/refunds filed and accepted by the IRS before Feb1, 2009 have been delayed. The IRS has now changed the expected refund date to 2/24/09. I believe that the IRS had a major system problem and were not courteous to admit it to the public. Unfortunately, I am not surprised, especially since we can have a “Tax Cheat” heading the Treasury & IRS! Go figure.

    I have been checking the status of my refund, which I was supposed to receive by February 17th- and now the IRS says there are processing delays and will have to wait an additional two weeks. Has anybody else encountered this, or is it just me? Mine was accepted on January 30th.
