I think this practice is in direct opposition to my right to privacy. I was also asked about my age, to make sure I could do the job "safely". How is one supposed to pay their bills if they can't get a job? The more they are turned down due to their credit score, the further behind they get, the worse their credit. I have received no less than three requests for this information from potential employers in the past several weeks. I have disregarded them all under the assumption that they are scams - another issue with trying to find a job these days. I am disgusted with the whole process...perhaps I should just apply for government aide until someone steps in to regulate this idiocy. This is ridiculous.
