0% Credit Card App-O-Rama
Personal Finance
I had previously talked about my desire to apply for a few 0% credit cards this month. Well, after reviewing some of our finances and balances I decided to expand my applications. So today I applied for 8 new credit cards.
Doing these on the same day minimizes the other companies seeing all the hits on your credit report. It also makes the application process easy since you have all the information in front of you at one time.
Staying Organized
I keep a spreadsheet of what card I applied for, what the offer is, and make pdf screen prints of all the terms and conditions in case there is a problem later. Once I am approved (or denied) I put down the credit limit and balance transfers I have done. If possible, I put the credit card into Yodlee for easy tracking.
So below are the cards which I applied for.
| Card | Term | Max Fee |
| CitiBusiness | 0% for 12 months | $0 |
| Citi Upromise Card | 0% for 12 months | $0 |
| BOA NEA WorldPoints | 0% for 12 months | $30 |
| Advanta Rewards BusinessCard | 0% for 15 months | $50 |
| Discover More Card | 0% for 12 months | $0 |
| Chase MasterCard Platinum | 0% for 12 months | $75 |
| BankAltantic Rewards Card | 0% for 15 months | $75 |
| National Park Platinum Visa | 0% for 12 months | $50 |
Rewards
CardSelection also offers cash bonuses for applying for certain credit cards through them. i was able to get $95 back from them for the Citi Upromise Card, Advanta Platinum Rewards BusinessCard, and Discover More Card which makes some of the balance transfer fees a little easier to swallow.
So Far…
Unfortunately I was denied for the Discover Card. Not sure why, they are going to follow up with a letter. I was approved instantly online for the BankAltantic Rewards Card, BOA NEA WorldPoints, and Advanta Rewards BusinessCard. The others are under review and I will receive a response in the mail.
I will post more once I get some more answers back.

I got rejected for the Discover Optima card. I have a high-ish credit score but they said my utilization on some cards was too high. This refers to the cards where I transferred balances to use up the 0% interest…so I guess I have to pay off a bit more on those before I can do more apps. good luck with yours.
